Ein neuer Schatz in meinem Bücherregal: die limitierte Ausgabe der Yoshitaka Amano Biografie “Beyond the Fantasy“ von Florent Gorges. Sie ist einfach umwerfend schön! Ich liebe es, wie viel Mühe sich Dark Horse Comics mit den Artbooks macht ♥
Der Schuber ist sehr stabil und fühlt sich wertig und edel an. Der Aufdruck ist insgesamt eher matt, doch die Grafik schillert glänzend. Darin steckt in fest gebundenem Einband die über dreihundert Seiten starke Biografie „Beyond the Fantasy“, in der sich um die 400 Illustrationen befinden, das 96-seitige Softcover „Paris Sketchbook“ und eine schicke zusätzliche Mappe, die als Hülle für eine BluRay mit Dokumentation und Kommentaren dient. Dazu gibt es zwei Mini-Lithographien und ein Zertifikat mit Original Unterschrift von Amano.
Diese Ausgabe ist limitiert auf 500 Stück. Die reine Biografie ist auch ohne das Drumherum käuflich zu erwerben.

A new treasure in my bookshelf: the limited edition of the Yoshitaka Amano biography „Beyond the Fantasy“ written by Florent Gorges. It´s just stunningly beautiful! I love how much effort Dark Horse Comics puts into their artbooks ♥
The slipcase is very solid and feels valuable and classy. The print is rather matte overall, but the artwork shimmers brilliantly. Inside, in hardcover, is the over three hundred page biography „Beyond the Fantasy“, a paperback „Paris Sketchbook“ with 96 pages, and a nifty additional folder containing a BluRay with documentation and commentary. There are also two mini-lithographs and a certificate with original signature of Amano. This edition is limited to 500 copies. The pure biography is also available for purchase without the trimmings.
I am already looking forward to reading it!
